Personality:[/size][/blockquote]
You would definitely call Serena an individual. Serena is a big believer in staying true to yourself and is not afraid to speak her mind if she truly believes in something. Friends and family (no matter how small it is) mean the world to her (even if she won't admit it), but when making new friends she has some trust issues. She's slightly afraid to become close to people, but she's generally a friendly girl that's outgoing and opinionated.
Serena is a fairly good student, but if her mind (or heart) isn't in something, she is least likely to succeed as much. When it comes to classes her best subjects are, photography, media studies and literature. Her worse subject is maths, mainly because she can't get her head wrapped around the numbers.
She has different kinds of humor, sometimes she can be sarcastic and then there's the times where she's just laughing at something when she finds it amusing. Serena is slowly trying to learn about who she truly is, and slowly discovers more about her values, abilities and qualities each day and is discovering things about herself in the process.
She also has an angry side. If someone begins to taunt her about things that are close to the heart, she's not afraid to get angry and maybe lash out a bit, which she is most likely going to regret later on.
Serena seems to always play the hero, even without meaning to, she can't stand seeing good people (in her mind) in trouble and will definitely do something if she believes what is occurring in the situation is wrong.
Serena is a fairly passionate and ambitious young lady and if she wants something that bad she'll do almost anything to get it. When she's in this state she tends to act before she thinks, leading to bad decisions that lead to bad consequences, but other than that she is usually smart about what she does.
History:
Serena was born in London, England and has spent most of her life there. She loved her life in London, she had her best friends there, her school, her life and was quite annoyed when she found out that her parents were moving them to the other side of the world when she was sixteen years old.
Her parents were both lawyers at a firm in London, but received a better job offer in America, so they took it. Serena and her brother Logan (who is eighteen) hated this idea but their parents insisted that they move.
For a while she felt quite distant from her parents for shipping her and her brother off to America. She became closer to her brother because she felt that he was in the same boat as her, he had to leave his entire life behind too.
Their parents enrolled them into 'West Coast Academy', they don't particularly enjoy it compared to their home back in London, but now that Serena and Logan have settled in a bit, they begin to like it more and more every day.

Serena sighed as she braced herself for her parents visit. She was standing out the front of 'West Coast Academy' in the school parking lot. It was the weekend. She dreaded her parents' visits because they usually consisted of them escorting her to the finest restaurant in town and talking about the latest goss that occurred at the law firm.
They didn't ask Serena too much about what was going on in her life. The most they would ask her were questions like "How has school been?" and "Are you keeping up with your studies?". Oh yes, of course they cared about her studies. School was the ticket to success, especially a school with such a great reputation. That's all they cared about.
Serena had her bag swung casually around her shoulder. She wore a pair of baggy cargo pants, a black Emily the Strange T-shirt and a pair of sneakers. She chose a more casual look today because no matter how hard she tried, her mother would always make suggestions of what she should wear. So today she didn't try at all.
Minutes went on by as Serena awaited for her parents arrival. Logan is so lucky to get out of this...he needs to study for a test my arse... Serena thought, irritated by the fact that her older brother had managed to come up with a plausible excuse for not being able to come out on this little family outing.
Twenty minutes later a flashy black BMW, turned almost gracefully into the parking lot. Recognizing the car as her parents', Serena moved forward grudgingly, putting on a fake smile as she approached the car. She extended her hand and opened the back car door. "Hey mum...dad." She greeted her parents as she slid into the back seat, wanting to this to be over already.
